Enso is a Japanese Zen term, meaning infinite.
“En” in Japanese means “circle” and has been recognized as a symbol of harmony for centuries. It’s used in a positive way in Japan, like “Enman” which means “integrity” or “perfection”.
In my Enso collection I wanted to describe how we infuence each other as one “En” circle.
“This moment” is inspired by Zen philosophy to focus to live this moment.
Kanji characters tend to be composed by a few elements.
今 has two different elements. The top of the Kanji part is 人 which means people or person. This Kanji letter is often to be seen as two people supporting each other, or one person standing firmly. On the below, it looks like a little person is stand or bent.
I translate this Kanji as whenever we feel lonely, we are emotionally or physically supported by somebody but it’s not always the support is visible.
Ichigo Ichie is a Japanese Zen word - it means one meeting in one life time.
As we keep evolving and aging, we change in every second.
Ichigo Ichie means even when we meet with family and friends, it looks like same version of us however, the meeting is actually one and only because we continuously change.
This word teaches us how precious each meeting in our life is.
